Previous Diets

As you may have guessed by my picture we did have a baby Girl April 19, so I was a little behind with this update, she has been a real blessing in many ways, one being, she has slept through the night from the second week she was home, our first two kids didn't sleep all night till about 4-5 months. I have gone up and down with my weight for years but am determined to change my lifestyle to maintain an ideal weight for me and do it for my family. I have my third child due in less than two weeks and want to be healthy and active in my retirement years (Lord Willing)

About Me

I have always been overweight my whole life and decided it is time to change that. I have already lost 25lbs and want to lose 32 more

Update: I have now lost 39lbs and have 18 to go to reach my goal WooHoo.

15 to go, wow those last three took a long time to get off, but I can feel the fat burning now.

Only 11 to go now, I'll try and behave this weekend as to not have a set back.

Hey there! Good for you! And your mom-in-law should be a good boost to ya! Ensure you drink extra water...just to keep everything flushing!!! Go to bed with a glass of water and a little lemon juice on the nightstand, and drink it before you do anything - first thing in the morning!

Remember: broccoli is the most bang for your buck with veggies -- the more the merrier....ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY!!!!

Hey "2fat4u"! Welcome to the comp! I'm hoping we all get going now over this next week! I have been on a bit of standby myself, and rain has my walk for this morning out the door for now -- but I am weight training 3-4x weekly starting Monday. Training partners all lined up!

Let's get this going; hopefully we'll have a couple more in here within the next week, and I'll give everyone the address to send the $25 registration. Again, even if we don't get sufficient people to cover the prizes, I am sponsoring these! I think it's a great motivation!

Nedjie -- hope your cleanse is going great. I'll check in on your journal later in the day darlin!

GOOD LOSS TO US ALL!!!

How was your race? I ran mine in 2:33...slow, but still 9 minutes faster than my last half marathon (and this one was much tougher, lots of hills!). Hope you're doing well!

My race is May 10th. I've been doing a lot of cardio, but only half of it has been actual running. I am not a huge fan of the treadmill if I am running more than 3 or 4 miles. I am hoping I can do longer runs outside in February.

You are just about at your goal. That is so awesome! How is training going?

Well i had a pretty bad gain over christmas. WHat is it about the holidays that can make someone so depressed and down? Lord knows i tried right up until a few days before christmas and i just decided screw it.... I was sick of trying so hard and still letting myself down nearly everday by eating a cookie or two. So i decided to just enjoy my holidays and deal with the weight stuff when they were over. Day after christmas i got on the scale (after about 5 good days of heavy cheating) and it said 211!! Holy lord.. that was over 10 pounds. I took a water pill and the next morning i was down to 208... now 7 pounds i can deal with (even though thats still more than a pound a day gain which still doesnt seem very fair). Im working on getting rid of that and this morning i was 205. I'm gettin back down there where i should be.

I'm not going to make my goal of 50+ by New years but ya know what?? I really cant let that bother me too much. Yes it does suck to have missed a goal, HOWEVER, i have lost 45+ pounds in the past 8 months which is the most weight i have ever lost and that includes after pregnancy weight loss, I'm proud of myself for that. Today starts a new week and a whole new year.. and i'm going to make my goals in 2008! 35 pounds to go!! 170 HERE I COME!

I hope you have been doing well too... BIG CONGRATS on the 1's now and i hope you were able to maintain them through the holidays.

HAPPY NEAR YEAR BRUCE! (sorry for the book)

lol Dont say that! If i am i'd have to exchange some really strong words with my husband who SAID he went through with the vasectomy 4 years ago and milked it for all it was worth for a 2 weeks after! lol I dont think that i am.. but that sure would explain some things.

Yesterday was better than monday i think i'm finally getting back in the "groove" of it all again. Though this morning was my daughters christmas program with all the cookies you can eat so i've slipped up majorly already today though i plan to get in an hour of cardio and burn at least some of them off.

I also braved the scale this morning and its only about a 2.4 pound gain so its alot more managable than i thought it would be... i can have that gone by Christmas i should hope... then i have a whole week to get rid of that last pound and get in those darn 190's by new years!

i hope you have a great week.. HAPPY HOLIDAYS! :)

Bruce, man, I don't have a record of your sending $25 for the competition. Did you do that? I think you're gonna make it-- but you gotta pay to play. If you haven't sent it out yet, please overnight it to me this week so you can split the pot with the winners. Thanks!

I dont know about you.. but i'm starting to get fed up with these darn 200's!!!! This week i did EVERYTHING right.. 45 minutes of cardio... 15 minutes of weights... i stayed within my calories goals... EVERYDAY (though i did have pizza on wednesday for lunch but i still adjusted to a light dinner to stay within my calorie goal or 1500/day). I was expecting a nice loss this morning, i'm only weighing in on fridays now, and i'm 200.8 Thats not even a 1/2 a pound loss. I spose i should be thankful i lost at all. Its just so discouraging to work your bum off for a whole week and have such little reward for it!

I guess maybe i'm just being greedy. I really wanted to make my goal for the new year competition though.. and i dont think its going to happen now as i needed to average almost 2 pounds per week through december. i spose if a miracle happens 6.8 pounds is still doable.. i just feel like i'm losing hope!

Sorry... i just needed to vent!

I hope you have a great day and fabulous weekend. Best of luck to ya!
