How are you doing, Carlos? I took a break from this site...I had to eat my apple pie and didn't want to post my weight! But I'm back, after some ups and downs. Hope things are going well for you, ~Tara

Hey Carlos! Hope you're enjoying your holliday weekend and Thanksgiving didn't turn you into a gobbler! LOL
I added another website to "mystuff". It's at the bottom #17. This guy has a lot of great stuff. Thought I'd share.

Also, one of my long lost relatives that we just discovered last year wrote a book about some of my family. Thought you'd be interested. It's called Broken Branch by James Robert Dowell. I confess I haven't had the time to read it yet but there's a dedication to my grandfather, Bob Phillips, my aunt Patricia Phillips Snyder and my mother Mary Jane Phillips Leonard. There's a typo and it says Mary Jane Edwards. Edward is my step-dad's first name. LOL Anyway, enjoy.

Just checking in. Take care.

Hey Carlos! How's it going? Your graph is moving in the right direction! Congrats! I see you found a competition! Good luck with that. Just keep your eyes on the goal and do your best not to waver! Be concious of what your eating instead of just eating any ol' thing 'cause your hungry. (I say that because I was there at one point. That's what got me in this spot in the first place. I was a mindless eating machine. Self proclaimed food junkie!) Make helthy choices! You'll be losing in no time! Have a great Wednesday!

Thanks, Carlos, usually I'm not so pushy with advice. I didn't want to overstep the line. Now about that secretary of yours.......fire her!
LOL

Congrats on your 2 lb. loss!

Hi Carlos. Thank you for the encouragement. I would probably sacrifice before punishing my dogs with fat food. Their hips and knees would give out...haa. Honestly, you are tall. At 6'4 you are at average weight so don't be too hard on yourself. Just exercise to gain energy.

If you don't mind me saying so, you sound like a nice guy, but need to be more selfish. I'm sure they could find healthy snacks to support what you're doing.
It wasn't long ago that I bought chips, cookies, dip, ice cream, more cookies, cheese curls (drool!), etc. Without realizing it, slowly I gave it up and it's not even here. My 18 year old is fine with that (he avoid sugar/fat due to acne) and my 12 year old is so proud of his "new mom" that he's accepted it too.
The only things I buy now are vanilla ice cream (yuck...what good is i.c. if it's not chocolate?) and sometimes cookies I don't like, but they do.

Thanks for the add. I'm new to this and I like the site. If you find a competition, I'll join with you...I need all the challenges and motivation I can get.

Hey Carlos,
Hope you're doing well. Sorry to be nosy but I understand you're a "stress-eater". Stress can do weird stuff to the body and the psyche! When I'm stressed I either eat all the wrong foods and lots of them or I don't eat anything at all. Neither of these are good habits to have. But remember, habits are made to be broken! You CAN change your ways!! Tara's right. Rid your house of fatty snacks and take the temptation in moderation. If it's cookies then just buy a small snack size bag to eat that day. Same thing if it's chips, crackers, candy etc. Try and limit yourself to 2 "bad" snacks a week. It'll make you chose your snacks wisely and allow you some wiggle room in your diet. I'm not much of a snacker anymore so I allow myself 1 guilty meal per week. I've noticed that even tho I enjoy my treat, I've toned it down to smaller portions and I'm still satisfied! Good luck and have a great week!!!
