Breakfast IS the most important meal of the day. Here is my helpful tip of the week, this week - Metabolism:
Eating breakfast can be fun, and is VERY important. Splurge here as your body is most tolerant to sugars and carbs at the breakfast meal. It is also where your metabolism rate begins for the day.

The battle of the waist starts in the mind. Here is my helpful tip of the week, this week - Fruits:
Resveratrol found in red grapes and anthocyanin found in cherries, blueberries, kiwi, plums and blackberries helps reduce the risk of cancer and heart diseases at bay. Guava, oranges, papaya and indian gooseberry are very good sources for vitamin C an antioxidant. Mangoes and papaya are excellent source for beta carotene.

Tips huh? I eat 5 times during the day while at work. Not "meals" per say but 5 times averaging about 4 to 5 hundred calories total. Then I go home and have a normal dinner which puts my totally calorie intake at roughly 1000 to 1200 a day. Since we work at a place that is very stationary it is important to remember that you only lose weight when your calories burned each day exceed your take in and eating larger meals spread out over longer time frames actually causes your body to think it is starving thus causing fat storage. Smaller meals and snacks keeps the body thinking there is no shortage. My average daily food intake is:
6 to 6:30 am Cereal bar or oatmeal.
10am - half can of tuna
1pm - other half of tuna can
3pm - Yogurt
5pm granola bar
7:30pm dinner
FYI- by the time dinner comes, after a week or so, you will find that youa ren't even that hungry and end up eating a smaller meal which also prevents your body from storing more fat through the night as you sleep.

Our biggest challenge seems to be burning calories. Here is my helpful tip of the week, this week - Burning Calories:
Eat Little and Often - Evidence suggests that eating small meals every 2-4 hours will keep your metabolism burning faster than larger, less frequent meals. When you eat small amounts often your body is constantly working to digest and absorb food which requires energy.
