About Me

So yeah, I was always overweight growing up and around 18 was when I really started to realize how poorly I'd been caring for my body (in so many ways) and decided it was time to change (in so many ways :)). So I haven't been the way I was for some time, but now I am coming to a place where I am not just ok with not being fat. I want to be in shape! I want to see my abs! I know they are down there. My little brother recently challenged me to an exteme work out plan that is supposed to change my body (guess what, it is!). And so this is a great place to keep track and be held accountable (and meet some great people :)). I think I am more driven by the accountability than the competition, but it's fun either way!

Hi there, how's the working out going?

I would join your competition, but I honestly can't see myself making the 10lb minimum. I've already lost 5 and I'm hoping for 8 more. I think that would put me in really good shape. But I'll cheer you on! I love you :)

Hi Faith, thanks for accepting my friend invitation! I saw on your profile that you're doing PX09. I had to look that up -- ha ha! Wow, it sounds very impressive. When did you start, how is it going? I'm very curious. Obviously, I need to get into better shape before attempting something like that (even if merely for health reasons), but I'm so impressed by people who do that sort of thing. Where'd you get the idea and how are you liking it? -Natalie

Hey Faith!
Thanks!!!
Great work! Where did you get the scale you were talking about? What brand is it? I have a Weight Watchers one that i got as a gift a few years ago and only measures in .5 measurements. Some times i will get on more than once just to be sure that it is accurate and will give me the same reading again. I am waiting to hear about a job in another one of our buildings. I have put off joining the gym downstairs incase i need to move and join the other one i would be closer to. Each day i dont join i feel like i am missing out on some great workouts! It shouldn't rain this afternoon so at least i can run. :) Have a great monday!

I've already entered your goal as 10 pounds, but if you like I'll change it. What would you like it to be?

Hey honey, just checking on all the girls... you need a journal entry this week. Don't forget!

Yeah, I actually have a Tanita fat monitor scale. It tells you your body fat, your hydration levels, how many pounds of muscle you have, how many pounds of bone you have, and your metabolic age. According to the scale, I'm 50!!! And 50 is as high as it goes. I might actually be 70!! Anyway, I usually just pay attention to the body fat % and my hydration levels.
I just bought a scale to measure my food out. I might start counting calories.
Thanx for the note. I'll let you know when I start p90x. Maybe I'll post an after pic ;)
