Main Goal
Become health again. I am losing weight with a friend. It's a lot better for me when I have someone to do it with.
Previous Diets
Favorite Workouts
Things To Do Before I Die
Favorite Activities
I like to play poker with friends. I only play hold'em and I win more than I loose so I think I'm good, but I am sure that my friends are just bad! hahaha... I also like to go away. I would go tenting all the time if I could but my gf's idea of roughing it is not having cable... So I don't tent much anymore but we do try to get away a few times a year.
Favorite Music
I like country, rock, classic rock, alt, rap, hip-hop, dance, I like a bunch of stuff. I also enjoy some hardcore but not any new stuff. As I get older it has lost it's appeal. Oh And I don't like girly music. And you know what I'm talking about...
Favorite Movies
I love watching movies. My brother and I use to watch five right in a row on a Friday night. Ah the good old days. I love funny, action, artsy, but don't like drama's! If it's a drama about real life then I would rather go on a street corner and watch. At least there it's free. I love fanitcy movies and some scifi. I also love musical, "Across the universe" and "Moulanrosh" Rocked! I am also a big fan of PCU and those type of movies...
Favorite TV Shows
Heroes is a great show! First season was the best but I'm not complaining. I also enjoy smallville and supernatural but they haven't been very good in quite some time. I think I am hoping that they get some better writers and get the shows back on track. I also watch dirty sexy money, need I say more. The name alone puts it right up there! hahaha, and then there is kville. My gf really like that show and I like the actors so I'm really watching it for them. And then last but not least Ghost Hunters! That show rocks!
Favorite Books
I am a big Anne Rice fan, I also read about everything. If I want to learn about something I go on the internet and then I buy the book. If I see a good movie that will be coming out next year I figure why wait? So I go and get the book. I also read a lot of car book. But not because I like cars but because I run a car dealership and I need to keep a head of the curve.

DEFINITELY!
We have a Whole Foods, but it's too far away for me to go with my work hours.
But, if you make something, let me know!
ALSO, LOOK FOR THE BOOK VEGANOMICON. Awesome book!

Thanks for the add. I see you like Anne Rice. I've met her 3 times here in Houston for book signings. I haven't read any of her new stuff but I have all of her vampire and witch books plus more. I also like to watch Heros on tv. It's my fave right now. I guess it comes from being a big comic book fan back in the day. That says alot for the type of movies I enjoy too.
Your weight loss seems to be going great! Almost 50# in a year! I'm impressed! I thought about your Vegan Christmas dinner. How about steamed veggies with a lemon sauce? Lite, Vegan and tasty!
I'm trying to get my hubby motivated to start a lifestyle change with me but to no avail! He's paid for a gym membership (his choice not mine) for 4 months now and has gone twice!!! I envite him to go with me often but he's always got an excuse. He needs to lose at least 70# if not more! I want him to be healthy AND happy. His appearence doesn't matter to me it's his well being that counts and I tell him often! Any advice? Anyway, sorry to dump!
I'll be posting more recipes soon. Check it out over the next month.
Happy hollidays to you and yours! Eat healthy and stay strong!

So, I saw a comment that you left on Tasha's page about Skinny Bitch In The Kitch.
Nice book, but some of the recipes need special food items, and though they seem DAMN tasty, they have so many ingredients!
It's so hard to find the specialty items from the book anywhere around here! (I live in Rhode Island) If you do get the book, and make something, tell me how it goes! I want to make something, and am considering ordering stuff online to make it, but I hate wasting my time cooking. I turn into a 4 year old if I make it, and it doesn't taste like how I think it should!
Have a great day!

Hey Frank! I've read the book and I have the Skinny Bitch in the Kitch so I think I'm going to give it a try come Jan 1. I've been kind of doing trial and error the past two weeks and I think I'll be able to do it. I'm going to try my hardest atleast. We'll have to keep each other updated! =)

Not sure about the Vegan Poster child, but... Skinny Bitch Poster Child! (Well, in 10 more lbs, maybe lol)
No worries on the delay!
Exercise is totally healthy for Vegan's so no worries.
I try and exercise not 30 mins to 1 hr a day. I play DDR :D
But, it's a recent start to exercise, and I work 12 hour shifts, so I'm dying from exhaustion from work!
I did notice that it's been (ironically AND frustrating!) harder to lose working out than just dieting.
Well, maybe it's muscle, who knows? Just wish that I could lose that LAST 10. It plateaued after the first year, and the last few are SO hard to lose, but it's the same with any diet though.
Good luck to you Frank! Stay exercising, stay strong, and UPDATE me on the Potato pancakes! Sounds delicious :)

Any plans for Christmas Vegan dinner?
Usually I have not so healthy vegan candied sweet potatoes (MMMM!) and other weight boosting foods, but not this time.
How's the weight loss coming? Still fast?
I lost 40 my first year, and 25 this last year. It's been ROUGH this year. I have a picture up of me before I was a Vegan, I was a fatty. I read Skinny Bitch as well, and it all clicked.
Well, have a great day!

Showin some love!! =) I think I am going to become a Vegan on January 1 and see if I can make it work! You seem to do really well on it. From here to the end of the year I'm going to slowly move into it. Good luck this week! =)

Thanks for the advice. I know my hubby will do the right thing when he's ready, I just have a hard time accepting it. He keeps saying he's gonna do something but his words and actions don't always match! It's very very frustrating! As far as your diet, have you looked into rawfamily.com? It may interest you. Hope you and yours have a very blessed holliday season. -Patricia
