Main Goal

My primary goal is to lose the 20 pounds of fat that I've put on over the past few years, and replace it with muscle. Ideally, I would like to be about 190 pounds and under 10% body fat. Before I start adding on those pounds of muscle, though, I'd like to drop the flab.

Previous Diets

The only diet that I've followed is the Abs Diet, created by Men's Health Magazine. It's a really great diet, and gives some very useful information regarding what it means to eat healthy. The only problem is that it's so difficult to stick with this kind of program when all of your sustenance basically comes from convenience stores, truck stop restaurants, and fast food joints.

Favorite Workouts

I really love the dumbbell bench press, incline, decline and flat. Alternating dumbbell curls and concentration curls are great, too. I like most free-weight exercises, but wow...I really can't stand cardio. The only time I enjoy getting cardiovascular exercise is when I play basketball or things like that. I'm starting to get into Yoga for flexibility. It's WAY harder than I expected.

Things To Do Before I Die

Before I die, I'd like to visit Europe. Particularly Spain, the UK, and France. I'd like to see my children grow up to be successful adults, and start their own families. Other than that, I just want to live life to its fullest.

Favorite Activities

Creating dj mixes, producing original tracks as well as remixes, graphic design, playing catch with my son, hitting the town with my wife, coloring with my daughter, school work (weird, huh?), playing sports, reading, and lots of other things, really. I've lots of interests, just so little time to pursue them all.

Favorite Music

I love all kinds of music. Honestly, the only music that I really have no affection for, is modern country. I do like the older stuff like Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty, and their ilk, though. Mainly, I listen to rock, hip hop, house, trip hop, down tempo, drum & bass, trance, pop, punk, oldies, etc.

Favorite Movies

Last of the Mohicans, Tombstone, Goodfellas, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Scarface, Anchorman, anything with Jack Nicholson, the Blade series, Pulp Fiction, Eddie Murphy's "Raw" and "Delirious, " Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Princess Bride, Fight Club, Desperado, anything with Jet Li, Enter the Dragon, the X-Men series, Spiderman 1-3, Lost in Translation, Dogma, Snatch, Mallrats, Clerks, Gladiator, Braveheart, The Last Samurai, Pirates of the Caribbean, various Disney movies, Equilibrium, Matrix, Breakfast Club

Favorite TV Shows

Samurai Champloo! They really need to bring that show back. The wife and I really like to watch Who's Line Is It Anyway together. I like the Chappell Show, the Simpsons, Family Guy, Seinfeld, and anything that can make me laugh.

Favorite Books

Stephen King's "Dark Tower" Series. Hands down.

About Me

Hey everyone! I am a truck driver, out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. I have two kids, and a beautiful wife. Since joining the company that I now work for, nearly three years ago, I've gained 20 pounds. I went from 155 to 175, which is the most I've ever weighed. It probably doesn't seem like much to lose, but honestly, I have lots of flubber around the midsection that I'd love to see disappear.
