Main Goal

I just want to feel comfortable in my skin. I don't want to hide behind my weight anymore. I know I'm a beautiful, sexy woman, and that will intensify once I feel totally comfortable in my own skin. I'm at a place right now, where I'm ready for the world to see the real me again. I'm ready to handle it now..no more hiding. No more excuses.

About Me

I'm 24. I feel like I've been trying to lose weight forever, but it's because I think I get too easily influenced on what everyone else around me is doing to lose weight instead of doing what FEELS right to me. Take it one day at a time..be positive all the way through..and in time, it will come off. At this point, I'm content with that.

This is so long.. i'm sorry! lol

Hi there. Yeah i was pretty excited about that size 12 skirt lol. Never would i have even dreamed of grabbing a size 12 in the first place... but skirt after skirt after skirt of the size 14 was too big!! It was pretty exciting.

I'll tell you what i was told when i saw a nutritionist before i started my diet 7 months ago. I weighed 250 or darn close to it and she told me to limit myself to 1500 calories per day and at least 30 minutes of cardio daily (i got most all my cardio on the treadmill). I think this should apply to you as well. My bmi when i started was 36 and yours is 35 so i think we are somewhat comparable there. Watch your sugar.. and watch your sodium. Sugar turns to FAT and sodium makes us retain water. NOT GOOD!! basically fruits and veggies are our friends!! lol I pretty much LIVE off of lean cuisines and smart ones (you can also have healthy choice meals but i dont think have any that are as good as the smart ones). ALSO.. you need to eat SOMETHING every 2-3 hours. DO NOT SKIP MEALS!! For me this really was the hardest part to understand.... EAT MORE.. LOSE MORE!! Just didnt seem right to me at first but now.. it all makes sense. Think of your body like a Car. A car needs fuel in order to run properly right? Well food is the fuel for our metabolism. The more often you eat.. the higher and more active your metabolism will be. This works it really does!! I eat cereal usually for breakfast (nutritionist said only cereals with 4 grams of fiber or more, my choices are raisin bran and cracklin oat bran) then for a mid morning snack have a banana.. apple. Something healthy.. but be sure to eat something mid morning. For lunch.. i have a salad or a frozen meal (lean c. or smart1). Then you also have to be sure to eat an afternoon snack as well. I like the special k 90 calorie bars... the chocolate drizzle is pretty awesome and i have those for a snack quite often. Then... Dinner... just keep it healthy and before 6:00. Our bodies naturally slow down in the evening to get us ready for bed/night/sleeping. Pretty much you have a 12 hour window 7am-7pm in which you should be eating every couple hours.

WATER WATER WATER!!!!! The nutritionist also told me that any water beverage will count as water. Teas... crystal lights (love the to go packets)... lemonaides. Just try to watch the sugar. I often sweeten with splenda.. i love the stuff! have AT LEAST 8 - 8oz glasses of water daily. The more the better!

Sooo.. break it down...

1500 calories
30 minutes of cardio
eat SOMETHING every 2-3 hours
cereals with 5gr. fiber or more
easy on the starchy/carby foods
LOTS OF WATER!!!

Good lord i hope that was not confusing. if you have any questions or anything feel free to ask and i will do my best to help ya out. BEST OF LUCK! ;)
