Main Goal

I want to replace fat with muscle, gain strength and energy. I don't want to be a frail old woman. And I know for my size that means getting the weight down and getting the lean to fat ratio up. Losing 13 pounds by Nov 21 is probably ambitious but I'm going to try.

Favorite Workouts

Lifting free weights and weight machines. Anything cardio-ish is not too appealing but I really really need to do it.

I'm working on a "bucket" list...things to do before I kick the bucket.

Being around grandchildren. Travel. Movies. Reading. Plans to get more serious about golf.

About Me

I'm a very happy grandmother of two precious little girls -- almost 3 and not quite 3 months. Being a Nana is the very best!

Two years ago I entered my 6th decade (yes, I know, I never thought I'd be this old either) and at 60 I weighed 154 pounds. On a smallish 5'4" frame that was so NOT good. A year later (last Fall) I was down to 125. For the past year I've bumped around between 125 and 130. This weight is not SO bad but when it's comprise of my current 128 pounds of bones and very soft other stuff (i.e. blubber,) it's not all that good either. That leads to my goal.

You look fabulous! Staying active is totally key (this coming from the girl glued to the computer chair this morning). There is no doubt in my mind that you can reach your goal. We are all here to encourage you.
