ok, so i got busy at work, fell off the band wagon and gained 6 lbs (going out of town for work and eating lots of fast food didn't help any), but I'm back on and I have gotten 1 lb under what i was last weigh in!! I found a quote that is really helping me and i'm reminding myself of it everyday...

it is not that some have will power and some don't, it's that some people are ready to change and some are not. James Gordon, M.D.

hope it helps you too!!! Congrats on your 10 lbs! you're doing awesome!!

Hi,
I hope things are going well for you! You've lost ten already. Stay motivated, even when its the hardest. Sometimes, reading these posts and seeing how others are doing with pump you back up.

Hey, how’s it going over this way? You’re creeping up to the two week mark without updating your stats so I hope your still on track and doing ok. If not, tomorrow is a brand new day :)

Go you, Nichole! 10 lbs!!! Way to go, I'm so proud of you. Tell me how you're doing it. I really like to hear everyone's success stories because it is so inspirational to me. (Yes, it's alllll about me! ha!) Have the leaves started to turn in Tennessee yet? It is still 78 degrees out here in California. Seasons? What seasons?? =) -Natalie

Hi there...nice to meet you :) Great going on dropping 6 lbs and getting below 240!!! You’re off to a great start!

I’ve been at this weight loss thing for a few months now and I wish I could say that it’s been a breeze, but I don’t think there actually is an easy way around this...but...once you get in the swing of paying attention to your hunger/apatite signals and start making healthier choices, things do become easier. At first all I did was play a ‘swap’ game. I’d swap my unhealthy choices with healthier ones. From there I cut out sugar, caffeine, refined white foods, added oils and fats. BUT I did this slowly. One step at a time. I don’t forbid myself anything but I do try and set a limit on how often I eat something that’s not very good for me and I usually try to make sure that 3 days have passed before giving in to anything else. I also get in a minimum of 45 minutes exercise each day. I’ve tried to break up my weight loss goal into smaller more manageable ones and so far it’s worked out really well. I find that having smaller goals takes my mind off the bigger picture and prevents me from becoming disheartened plus I feel like I’m achieving something along the way which keeps me motivated to keep going.

The more you do it the easier it gets...so keep up the great effort your putting in and the rewards will follow :)

how are you doing? i haven't heard from you in a couple of days? hopefully things are going well, email me if you need some encouragement!! have a great weekend!

so I've been doing better this weekend...some of my biggest vices are coke, fast food, and chocolate. I get in a hurry so I eat fast food, then my sugar/energy plumates by mid morning and I have a coke, then I feel guilty at the end of the day and eat chocolate!! haha...it seems so funny that I know this about myself but can't seem to stop it! So, I had a pb/honey sandwich on whole wheat...not perfect, but lots of protein to keep me full, I had a glass of milk and some veggies for lunch, and i made shredded chicken sandwiches for dinner...and I've been drinking crystal light all day!! Same thing yesterday, no coke, no fast food, and the only chocolate I've had is from the 1 (count it ONE) chocolate chip cookie (chips ahoy tiny) I ate yesterday. And I feel full! and I'm not tired!! go figure!!! I think I might be on to something here! LOL This week will be the realy challenge. I've commited to my husband to pack my lunch and set out my breakfast items at night when I pack my daughters lunch for school so I'm not so tempted to go through a drive thru!! I have a 7 mintute strenght/stretching tape I'll do to kickstart myself and then walk the dog in the evening with my hubby. so, I know this is now really long, but it really helps me feeling like I need to be accountable to you! thanks so much! and what you were saying about fooling yourself about weight gain! I know...i kept telling myself I was the same as before I lost all my weight the first time...I was squeezing into the same 2 sizes (even though very uncomfortable) and then when I finally go on the scale again I realized I weigh as much as I did the day I gave birth to my son!!! that's 40 lbs more than I wanted to admit!! holy cow!!!! so good luck this week and keep me posted!! thanks again! :)

Hey there, new friend! I can relate, too, to how you're feeling. And ya know, the extra weight does hold us back no matter WHAT age we are. As a former gal from Tennessee who is also new to WeightLossWars, let's help one another get through this to succeed and shine!
