About Me
I am 36 almost 37 years old. I have battled with weight issues most of my life. At one point I lost approx. 35 lbs., but haven't had much success past that. I do childcare in my home therefore I am not able to be out of the house much. I also have 4 children. I am hoping to find someone to help with support and accountability. I think this could be fun and encouraging to each other!

Hi there! I have battled with weight since I was about 12 and expanded in every direction. I'm sure it's hard getting time for yourself with 4 kids and doing child care. You must be a pretty strong lady. I can barely do it with one baby. I notice we like a lot of the same TV shows. I like to sit in front of the TV and do stretches. Before I got pregnant, I ate pretty well, and did stretches in front of the TV every night. No heavy exercise. I lost 12 pounds the first month. Geez, I better get stretchin.' :)

Hi - glad to have you as a friend! I'll try to check in daily...hopefully we can support each other towards success.
Sounds like you've got your hands full too...and one of the hardest jobs on earth! Big time respect going out to you!
Well, despite the fact that I have been actively REALLY TRYING to lose weight for the past couple months...the only thing I've managed to do is expand. My biggest disgust is I don't even have to look in a mirror to be faced with my weight...I've developed a couple of nasty little fat rolls that remind me 24/7.
Yes - I LOVE to mow the lawn! In fact, just this morning I was 'mentally dancing a jig' because the grass is finally growing! If our weather holds, I'll be pulling the lawnmower out of hibernation before Spring Vacation is over - yeah!
Wow - hours worth of lawnmowing? Sounds like you have a nice big yard! My yard only takes about 45 minutes, and I do use the push mower unless I'm pressed for time. Have a riding lawnmower, but we bought it mostly for the field behind our house which gets cut down a couple times a year for fire protection. I actually tried to use the push-mower on it, but only succeeded in blowing it up. Apparently it didn't like the big thistles. oops -
I see you like Alpacas - do you have some, raise them? My 'critters' are limited to a dog, cat, 2 chickens, and a bunch of fish.
I'm switching diets again...to a 'non diet diet'. Actually, saw this show on TLC "I can make you thin" and decided to switch (especially since what I was doing wasn't working anyhow). I'm also trying to walk to work every day (don't be impressed, it's only about 300 yards...but it is straight uphill) and walk around the school hill during my breaks (which, unfortunately, I usually get to busy to take). Also am trying to get up early enough to do 20 minutes of exercise (pilates or yoga) and trying to do another 20+ minutes (ddr or belly dancing) at night. Now that the weather is warming up and days are longer...I'm also going to play tennis with the kids a couple times a week. My best intentions...
So, what are your plans for weightloss? Are you doing anything in particular? Goals? Short term, long term?
wow- looks like I wrote a novel (sorry). Guess I'd best quit being so chatty - must be time for me to go do some of that exercise I'm so committed to...umm, this is when I start having trouble - lol
Have a great week...full of positive energy and encouraging results.
