About Me

My name is Kim. Single mother of one. I have a weight loss goal of 15 pounds.

My BMI indicates that I am overweight. BMI is one of the most accurate ways to determine when extra pounds translate into health risks. BMI is a measure which takes into account a person's weight and height to gauge total body fat in adults. Someone with a BMI of 26 to 27 is about 20 percent overweight, which is generally believed to carry moderate health risks. A BMI of 30 and higher is considered obese. The higher the BMI, the greater the risk of developing additional health problems.

I am looking for the support of friends and will give that same support (plus some) right back. Lets get through this together.

Hey Kim, how are things going for you? Busy time of the year, but now I'm back. Still at the same place (145) so I need to make some changes. Frustrating! Got to keep moving forward, though, and we'll get there. Who would think it'd be so hard to lose a few pounds??? ~Tara

Hi Lady How are you doing? Hope things are going good for you.I am doing good back on track and know i can see the light at the end of the tunnel.5 more pounds to go by christmas i think i can do it.I just hope you are doing good.

Hi lady how are you doing?i did not make 142 on sunday i did not even post my weight.I gained to much over the weekend.but i lost it all plus one.So i am 142.5 as of right know i have a couple more days to sunday so lets see what happenes.i have a christmas party to go to saturday night so i have to stay on track and not eat or drink to much.i will post my weight sunday no matter what.wish me luck.i hope you are doing good.

Hey Kim, I just updated my weight today...nothing lost, but a pound gained. These little ups and downs are driving me crazy! Who says it's not hard to lose 5 or 10 lbs? Hope you had a good holiday and are doing ok! ~Tara

THE POWER OF WORDS

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit. All the other frogs gathered around the pit. When they saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit with all of their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up He fell down and died. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time.


This story teaches two lessons:

1. There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it through the day.


2. A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes to kill them. Be careful of what you say.


Speak life to those who cross your path. The power of words....it is sometimes hard to understand that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in difficult times. Special is the individual who will take the time to encourage another.

Be Special to others.
