Main Goal

My main goal is to get back in shape and stay there, once and for all. I'd like to reach my goal weight by July 2009 when the Brown's Biggest Winners Competition ends. I want to reach my optimum fitness level and then maintain it. I believe fitness is a journey, not a destination. Ultimately, my goal is to live healthy and stay fit by combining a nutritional diet along with regular exercise.

Previous Diets

I never really got into any of those fad diets. I guess I've tried the Near Starvation Diet, where I've eaten as little as possible. I remember waking up and blacking out before I could even finish a glass of juice. Yeah..no, I don't recommend that one.

About Me

My weight has always been up and down for all of my adult life. Currently It's seen new heights, let me tell you! After 3 years in exile, my scale came out of hiding from the garage. I dusted it off, reluctantly popped in a battery, stepped upon it, and Surprise! I discovered that I actually have 40 pounds to lose instead of 30. However, my clothes have known all too well. They have been quietly reminding me all along, but I just didn't listen. Pfffffft! That was yesterday. Today I'm ready to get serious about getting in shape again. There is a wonderful gym that just went up in my neighborhood which is within walking distance from my home. I am motivated to get back into a routine. I really enjoy good cardio classes that incorporate kick
boxing into the routine. I also love hiking in the mountains, swimming, and taking long walks. Hopefully the combination of these things will be my recipe for fitness success!
